In addition, she was appointed to the U.S. National Advisory Council and regularly testifies as an expert witness in court. Rebecca has overcome all challenges and has left an invaluable impact for the community and more.
Shamere Mckenzie
As the CEO of the Sun Gate Foundation, Shamere McKenzie dedicated her effort to providing educational opportunities to survivors of human trafficking. Her voice has resonated in numerous platforms, from national conferences to legislative chambers, advocating for laws and policies that aim to eradicate human trafficking and support its survivors. McKenzie’s journey from victim to victor and her unwavering commitment to advocacy underscore her remarkable contribution to human rights and her pivotal role in the ongoing battle against modern-day slavery.
Shannon Dingle
Shannon Dingle is a notable advocate, writer, and speaker, recognized for her influential work in disability rights, special needs advocacy, and the anti-trafficking movement. Her journey is marked by both personal and professional experiences that have deeply informed her advocacy work, including navigating life as a survivor of sexual assault and trafficking, and as a parent to children with disabilities and special needs. In addition, her advocacy efforts extend to challenging the church and society to be more inclusive and supportive of individuals with disabilities and those who have experienced trauma and exploitation.
Liz Williamson
Liz Williamson was sold into the sex industry by her mother when she was six years old. Despite trying to escape, Liz was locked in her room as punishment when her mom realized she had tried to flee. She even lost sight of the fact that being raped had become wrong. Eventually, Liz found a chance to get away from her family by attending college, and left the game at 23 years old. She is currently the Training Specialist and Survivor Leader at Truckers Against Trafficking, an organization dedicated to assist the transportation in anti-trafficking law-enforcement.
